Legal advice service gift vouchers can only be redeemed by UK residents
When a membership gift voucher is bought the buyer will receive a voucher code by email to give to the recipient. The gift membership will start the day recipient redeems the voucher.
Gift voucher codes are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
The buyer has a 14-day cooling-off period that begins the day after they make the purchase of a gift voucher. After the cooling-off period, or once the gift has been redeemed, the buyer can no longer cancel the membership gift voucher and is no longer entitled to a refund.
After the gift has been redeemed, the recipient may end their membership at any time. The recipient will not be entitled to a refund.
To cancel, you need to contact member services. You can do this by:
Make sure you state your name, address, email address and the date you wish to cancel if writing. Email subject lines should be ‘cancel’.
Gift memberships are one-off payments for 1 year and do not automatically renew.
At the end of the membership year, both the purchaser and the recipient will receive renewal communications.
